Description
This dataset includes records of the Aculeata pro parte (Apoidea pro parte: Andrenidae, Apidae, Colletidae, Halictidae, Megachilidae, Melittidae) from Switzerland and the adjacent area. Data sources include museum and private collections, the literature, field observations provided by a large network of volunteer collaborators, environmental impact studies, national inventories (Red List strategy) and academic work. The period covered by the data extends from 1817 to the present day. All data provided have been subject to a validation procedure.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 496,324 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
