Description
Dataset resulting from the activity carried out within the framework of the monitoring of large carnivores (Bear, Wolf, Lynx), mesocarnivores (Golden Jackal) and wildcats in Switzerland. The data collected are the result of camera-trapping (opportunistic and deterministic monitoring), direct observations or the compilation of indirect evidence of presence. The period covered by these data extends from 1993 to the present day. They come all over Switzerland. All data provided have been subject to a validation procedure by KORA. In some cases, genetic analyses are carried out for Bears, Wolves, Lynx, wildcats and Golden Jackal.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 311,615 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
